Success in the first bet yesterday, let’s carry on and get another one today.
I’ve been working at my current job for 3 years and have been a Manager for 2. Today is the day I will be going to my Business Manager and asking him for a pay review. After doing quite a lot of research, these are the best tips for how to be successful:
Explain why you deserve
Don’t seem like you desperately need it but that they should be giving it to you in a way of keeping you at the company.
Don’t ask for too much
Ask for a plan to how to get more pay reviews in the future
Be respectful and thankful once agreed , NOT cocky
Tomorrow we will find out whether these tactics worked for me! (Fingers Crossed)
Not many people become millionaires just from their full-time job. They usually have multiple streams of income, however unless you already have quite a bit saved up it is almost impossible to invest enough to make some major profit. So I’m going to take this one step at a time.
Reach £2000 in my account!!
How to do so:
Easier said than done I know but when looking back at previous bank statements the amount of silly spending I’ve done in the past is ridiculous! In total I spent over £150 in the cafe at work last month on food and drink whilst on my breaks. Pack lunches now seem like the way forward. After doing the research on multiple pro savers (yes they are a thing) I have noticed a lot of them have said use the 40% rule. This is where you save 40% of your monthly income each month from your full-time job. After a few quick calculations I came to realise that if I manage this for just 5 months I will have already saved over £2500!!! So the first step starts today!
Other streams of income
Now when I eventually have enough capital to actually invest in ways that are going to make serious money my income streams will look something like this:
Football Club? Yes, one of my dreams is to own my own football club!
Now as you can see I am quite far off having enough money to be able to invest in stocks or Real Estate and I don’t have enough to start-up my owning Clothing Line or football club yet so I’m going to have to start smaller. Although this blog probably wont bring in a massive (if any) amount of income in the future, I still wish to carry this on to record this whole journey and to hopefully inspire others to do the same and follow their dream. That being said I am always open for suggestions and help to make this as successful as possible so please don’t hesitate to comment down below.
My current streams of income at this beginning stage is going to look a bit more like this:
Facebook Market Selling
Daily given football bet
No-Risk matched betting
Literally any possible way of making some quick money (ideas would be appreciated)
For those who don’t know, I do 1 or 2 football bets a day. Now these bets are almost a certain win so it is only a small bit of profit to begin with but the way I do it is like this: I start with £5, I put 60% on a team (40% of account saved) that are very very very likely to win. Now usually this mean £3 turning into £4 and I’m sure you are thinking well whats the point in that? I then put 60% of my new account total on the next bet and so on, so as the money goes up gradually the profit will also. Even though the odds on the team will only profit £1 from a £3 bet you have to remember that a £300 bet with the same odds will profit a massive £100 in just 90 minutes. It will be a slow start but will get very intense very quickly. When the account total gets to £1000 I will bank and start again.
Now like I said, I want to record this whole thing so I will be posting every bet, sale or overtime I will be doing daily. At the bottom of every post including this one I will be posting my account balance and my betting account balance so I can see the progress as each day comes.
The reason you are reading this is because about a week ago someone asked me where I want to be in 20 years time. Now I’ve been asked this a hundred times but have never really given it too much thought. Reason being is because I, like a lot of people have been too busy enjoying or worrying about life right now. So when I said to myself I don’t know where I want to be in 20 years time I decided to think about what I love doing the most. We are on this planet once so why spend it doing things we don’t love?
I don’t know about you but when I get a week off work or go on holiday to a nice sunny country and I lie there on the beach with the people you love the most next to you just day dreaming about anything and everything, that’s what I love the most. However by day 3 you are already thinking and dreading about going back to work, or for some people they are still thinking about work whilst ‘relaxing’. For some people, that is fine and for others that is what they love so good for them but for me personally I just want to stay in that no worries world where I can do anything I want to do (within reason) whenever I want to do it. I want to feel like I’m on holiday every day but most of all I want to be able to make the people around me happy.
Im not amazing at a lot of things (blogging being one) but I know that when the time comes, I’m going to be an amazing dad. I want my family to have anything they want and when that time comes that I’m walking past a shop with my kid on my shoulders and he/she points at the shop window at a cool new toy or a sparkling new dress (daughter I hope), I can walk in that shop and buy it without having to think about how it will effect my bank account or think I’ll have to pick up extra shifts at work to make up for this.
So when people now ask me where I want to be in 20, 10 or 5 years time I’m going to say ‘I’m going to be financially free, lying on a white sand beach in Bali with my beautiful partner next to me with our kids playing in the sand’.
So how do we get there? Everything costs money. So I need money obviously and lots of it. Currently making £20k a year as a Manager at a leisure centre isn’t going to get us on that beach for 2 weeks let alone for the rest of our lives so it’s time to start planning what I need and how to get it.
